Windows 2000 AD & Bind
Hi
I posted this in the General Forum, but think perhaps it would be better posted here. ;-)
Hope someone can point us in the right direction here please.
We are starting to design an upgrade to W2K Acive Directory & wish to keep our DNS on the HP-UX boxes.
We are running Bind Version 4.9.3 on HP-UX 11.00, so need to know what version to upgrade to & how to go about it.
If possible I'd love a step-by-step idiots guide ;-) but any info or url's would be much appreciated.
Hope you guys can assist us.
Sue

Re: Windows 2000 AD & Bind
You can download the 'optional' BIND 8.1.2 upgrade for 11.00 from:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/DNS_BIND/index.html
For 11i HP have released a precompiled version of 9.2.0 which you can also get from software.hp.com (just search for bind).
To get the latest version with all the security fixes you'll need to download the source and compile yourself, from:
http://www.isc.org/
Regards,
Steve
