Hi:

A "wrapper" can make passing arguments to another script or executable (binary) easy. In some case, default options or arguments are added to the argument list when they are otherwise absent. For instance, 'fs_wrapper' provides the default filesystem type to a variety of filesystem commands. See 'man 5 fs_wrapper' for more information.
