writing to dvd

We are buying rp3440-4 servers. I want to be able to write files to the dvd drive from the HP-UX server and have them read on a windows 2003 server.

Can this be done. If so what do I need to achieve it.

Thank you
Garth

Shalom,

You use cdrecord for simple files.

There may be apps on this site:

Re: writing to dvd

Thank you for the information. I had previously found reference to hpuxdvdwrite. If I install this product to write to the dvd/cd do I just need to copy a file using standard unxi2dos or cp commands? to the dvd drive?

Note the on opening the links I just get an error on the page
Om Shanti

Re: writing to dvd

Hi,

RJ's link works (for me) - you could try www1 or www3 instead.
Or search for 'growisofs' or 'HPUXDVDWRITE' from your account.
You can also 'only' create an image at HP-UX and burn it at W$.
