X.25 connectivity to CISCO router
HI,
Is there any chance of singal loss when we use
a cable of 25 meters on a V11 interface? When
I am trying to use a fabricated cable according to
RS-449/V.11 adapter. This cable is 25 meters long
thick cable. When I am using two such cables to
connect to two servers for ACC card, and performing
a loopback test, I am getting a link reset due to
loss of CTS.
In place of these long cables, if I am using normal
Z7361A cable (RS449-X.21 adapter or RS-449/V.11
adapter, HP product), the link is working fine.
If anybody used a fabricated cable while connecting
to the routers, please respond.
I will be really thankful to you,
Phani

Re: X.25 connectivity to CISCO router
Hi
By using fabricated thick cables you could be encountering (electromagnetic induction) EMI which is causing the cts signal to corrupt.
Just an idea
