X.25 speed
I have a HP-UX 11i with j3525a (x25 card)
I connect to 16 exchanges (system-12) in each port (16*2 = 32 exchanges)
It seems that the data arrived very slowly.
before that, we use alpha unix with x25 card of 2 port, and it seem very good (64 exchanges not 32) with the same x.25 network.
The definition of the card appear in the attached file.
thanks.

Re: X.25 speed
Hi,
Let me share my knowledge on ACC/X.25, I worked on.
X.25 configuration involves in 2 level.
1. Card level:
Normally X.25 port properties (Speed,DTE/DCE etc) are defined in the Card configuration file.answ.
Using this.answ file, need to generate .tmem file to run the card.
2. Port configuration:
Here, we are defining the X.121 address and Level 3 Parameters.
My advice to edit the X.25 Card ascii configuration file and update speed as you/supported.
Regenerate the car binary file file try.
Hope this help you.
Cheers,
Rajesh

Re: X.25 speed
well,
I set the remote pad with a set of
x3 parameters, and it seems that this setting
cause the slow speed. i dont know excatly why.
now i connect to the exchange without setting the x3 parameters on the remote pad, and the data (unsolicited messages) arrived at the time.
thanks for all who try to help
Yizhar.

Re: X.25 speed
Hi,
We have customer using 6 8-port ACC cards to collect data from 48 switch. Plan to migrate system from PA-RISC server to Integrity. However, ACC is end of life, have to use J3525A to connect to switches. Using 24 J3525A dual-port card is one option, but seems that's too much. Does anybody know whether HP has the product (sort of panel) to have one port in J3525A card as input and 8 ports as the output to connect to 8 switches? Thanks in advance! -yabin
