X-Server Font Error
After migrating HPUX 11.00 to the HPUX 11.11, not more access for terminal graph. The X server is running these servers typically because access by other computers through the Windows (Reflexion or Xmanager).
Acessamos way station sun, solaris operating system 7.
Access the server with this command:
#xhost +
#set +fp tcp/200.155.103.50:7000
To make this command displays the following error message:
bad font path element (#42) possible causes are:
directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
directory missing fonts.dir
incorrect fontg server address or syntax
If not we shared this command to the sources, and we direct access via ssh, draw a graphical application (in this case, HP openview, accessed with the command "ovw") receiving another error:
internal error: CWfont.cpp.265
contact your HP Support representative
couldo not convert "-*-*medium -r - normal -*12-*-*-*-m-*-*-*" to font set
try changing your "*.cwfont" resource
When acessavamos the hp-ux 11.00 access was normal with the same procedure now for 11.11 these errors occur, help me?
Thanks

Re: X-Server Font Error
Hi,
first check, if you have really started a fontserver on your HP-box, e.g.
ps -ef | fgrep fs
To get a fontserver started at boot time,
look into
/etc/rc.config.d/fs (or .../fontserver - I don't have HP access currently)
and change the STARTxxx-variable from "0" to "1".
Having made this change, a
/sbin/init.d/fs start
will startup a font server without the need of a reboot.
