Re: Coping Oracle DVD in very slow Speed.
I've used this type of server. This is not usual behavior.
I suspect a hardware problem.
Probethe controller and dvd-rom with mstm cstm and xstm and have hardware replace the drive if problems are found.
You may wish to make sure the SAN and all hardware is working as this can be another bottleneck point.
Check for bottlenecks:

Re: Coping Oracle DVD in very slow Speed.
You will not enjoy my answer :-(
I have the same behavior on most RX. IMHO I suspect it is because the DVD is connected through an USB bus. May be an OS patch or a firmware patch exists, I don't know ...
If you have an HP-UX box with an other architecture consider copying the DVD from this box onto a local disk then copying through the network to your RX6600, or directly through an NFS mount.
Hope this will help ... although my post is not very positive ;-)
Regards
Eric
