X-windows Login - Trusted System
We have HP-Ux 11.0 server. Recently it has been converted to trusted system. Then onwards we could not login using X-Windows, with any login. We are using Hummingbird Exceed.
What could be the reason?
regards
Ravi

Re: X-windows Login - Trusted System
Your problem most likely lies in that
your account password has expired. Try
to login from another terminal and
change your password. If you have done
this on a number of attempts you will
need to unlock your account using the below.
When you trust a system, all passwords are
automatically expired.
# /usr/lbin/modprpw -k username
HTH

Re: X-windows Login - Trusted System
1. /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop
Note: Ensure that all users are logged out of CDE.
2. /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start
You are most likely getting the 'login incorrect' error because you converted your
system while running CDE.

Re: X-windows Login - Trusted System
We tried what u suggested. With that, when i invoke Exceed, the entry of that server in the XDMCP window is not displayed. Later we tried the following command, which solved the problem.
dtconfig -reset
Thank u all
