X11MotifDevKit
Using synopsys runtime and it's giving an error that says that it needs to run correctly HP patches PHSS_17326 and PHSS_17327 and XSWGR1100. I have downloaded the patch PHSS_21959 and 21960 (succeded to 17326 e 17327). I tried to install them. The first patch installation goes well, but the second gives me the error in the attached file. It says that it needs some filesets.
I have found those filesets (X11MotifDevKit) in the 2nd hpux11 application CD. When i try to install with swinstall, a window compare saing that the disk contains protected and unprotected software, and, of course, that only protected software can be installed. X11MotifDevKit doesn't compare. Do I have to buy it to use synopsys? (that i have also paid). It seems a little strange. Maybe i'm doing something wrong.

Re: X11MotifDevKit
Am currently in a similar situation, debugging some new installations on HP11. Seems that without the X11MotifDevKit Software can run Okay, I've got both
running versions 2000.11 and 2001.06. I did not install
the DevKit, but did install QPK and XSWGR. One machine
needed XSWHWCR as well. Please tell me what the problem is, I might have seen it myself....

Re: X11MotifDevKit
If it does then its purchaseable and comes with the Ansi C developers bundle etc .....
The patch PHSS_21960 is the Motif dev kit patch and would need the X11 Motif dev kit to be installed first. As to the PHSS_21959 this is the Motif run time and should install OK and be all that's necessary unless you were planning on writing your own motif based applications.
I'd suggest you contact Synopsis or post the errors you get from the Synopsis application here.

The Motif source stuff is now available free from HP on the Opensource CD which will be available on the net shortly. it consists of the X11MotifDevKit product and the
LANG-STARTUP and DEBUG-PRG filesets.
