x25 llc interface connection and testing

Hi,
I have configured an LLC interface on my HPUX 11i system with the folowing configuration parameters
the x25init_def file:
------------------------------------------
x.121 address: 4085551202
X.121_packet ''
name interface0
device lan0
lan_box_id 0
lan_box_addr 0x00306EC3623F 0x70
-------------------------------------------
file llc2_conf_def:

-----------
lan0 1
-----------

parameters listed in the first file are only the mandatory ones.. there are a whole lot of others not listed.
i only have lan0 configured on the server and used as the servers tcp/ip connection to the local lan. the address listed in the config file is the correct MAC address of NIC lan0.

when i initialise the interface i get a message that interface has been started successfully. I have 2 questions:

1. i have been advised to run x25check to check connection, when i ran it (with x25server running first) it gave an error that it cant connect
i would like to know what am i missing..
c25check command output:
==============================================
root@kabprod1:/etc/x25> x25check 4085551202 -i interface0
X25CHECK (c) COPYRIGHT Hewlett-Packard Company 1988.
Test Starts on .. Thu Jul 1 11:18:04 2004

Initialization of the test...
Unable to Connect to Remote Node
VC_CLEAR Packet was received with
CAUSE 17 : Remote Procedure Error
DIAG 49 : Timer Expired - Incoming Call
============================================

2. is there another way i can verify that my config is correct and i can actually connect using llc to the same server

the whole purpose of this is to run a pad-simulator on the server which uses llc.
The manual said the program requires Windows 95 or better, so I installed Linux !
