Xerox printer Daemon starting problem on HP server, Which files can be deleted?
Hi friends,
We have HP9000 K Class server with HP UX 11.00.
We have one Xerox network printer. Our network is on TCP/IP. Installation software is supplied with the printer which is there in the server.
Even though I properly install it, when I give command lp -d /etc/passwd for testing, It does not give any print.
in lpstat -t, it shows the printer name twice.
if I create printer name as "xerox", then it shows _xerox_ as well. I have not defined the printer thru sam but with its own software.
in ps -ef|grep daemon, it does not show any printer daemon in the list.
What should be the reason?
Secondly, which files can be removed from the server regularly?
Pl. help.
Thanks in advance.
Samir.
