xlock or xscreensaver?
I am running Exceed X-Windows emulator and would like to use xlock or xscreensaver. Neither one of these is present on 11.23.
Ideas?

Re: xlock or xscreensaver?
are you using exceed to start cde on a pc?
if yes, you have two choises, remember however enabling cde screen saver takes up CPU time on the remote system, in addition to generating more network traffic.
-1- enable cde screensaver
right click your mouse in cde, tools, desktop controls, screen style manager.
-2- enable your windows screensaver
Hope this helps,

Re: xlock or xscreensaver?
Isn't it very is to use Windows lock and screen saver.
I think, evebn if you lock from exceed, and not locked your PC, some one can kill and start a new session, though he need to enter passwd again.
To me it looks like windows lock should do.
Best of luck

Re: xlock or xscreensaver?
I am using Exceed, just opened a window as xterm. I do not think you can lock a xterm window. With CDE, you get a full desktop, so it's valid locking, screen saving, etc.
Xterm is another terminal emulator window with GUI.
Let's wait for experts comments...
