XP256 LUN's not displaying correctly in SAM
This error began to occur after we installed the June 2000 Support Plus patch bundle.
When in SAM, in "Disks and File Systems", when scanning the hardware, we receive
the following message ~480 times (each requiring an enter press):
Unable to obtain a description for the XP LUN. The reason is shown below.
Firmware does not support identification of
Continuous Access and Business Copy usage.
After the scan is complete, we only see 2 LUN's from our XP256 array. (there
should be 480). The first shows 478 paths. The second (which is the command
device) shows 2 paths.
Regards,

Re: XP256 LUN's not displaying correctly in SAM
1. What OS version are you on?
2. Which SAM Cumulative patch has been loaded in the bundle?
3. Is the array definitely an HP XP256? or is it the Hitachi 7700e
I believe your problem is the SAM patch that you installed, but can only give more once I have the above details

Re: XP256 LUN's not displaying correctly in SAM
Does it require a reboot?
John
I believe you may want to load PHCO_19047:

Array XP256.

And no it does not require a reboot at install time.
