ypldapd errors (NIS/LDAP Gateway)

Hi All !!

We are getting some strange errors from an HP-UX 11.00 server which is acting as a NIS/LDAP gateway to support our legacy machines.


Oct 14 11:21:43 nisldap1 ypldapd[561]: 81:couldn't get LDAP result - Can't contact LDAP server
Oct 14 11:21:43 nisldap1 ypldapd[561]: 81:rebinding to current LDAP server (sleeping 4 seconds)...


Although LDAP functionality (i.e. user authentication etc) seems to work with no apparent problems, we are seeing the following messages in the syslog every few minutes.

The load on the server isn't overly high, and our network guys cannot see any large volumes of traffic that could be causing timeouts.

The version of the LDAPUX software is:

Has anyone seen this before ?
