Maybe this helps already:

# whereis gzip
gzip: /usr/contrib/bin/gzip

# whereis gunzip
gunzip: /usr/contrib/bin/gunzip


Another one is this:
http://hpux.asknet.de/hppd/hpux/Misc/zip-2.32/


It depends on what you want to achieve.
