Solution
Shalom shaobinxu,
Looks like you have a problem with an Omniback memory leak.
http://itrc.hp.com
Patch and firmware database.
Do a search for your version of Omniback.
Memory leaks are rarely a function of the OS, which should be patched for many reasons. Its a function of bad application programming. In that case you have to get new application code from the vendor.

Re: any patch for memory leak on red hat linux
Thanks a lot for your reply, SEP, it helps me a lot.
I searched the patches using the URL you give me but found that there is no patch for debian GNU linux, maybe you noticed my server running debian GNU 2.4.21, do you think debian a stable OS? or maybe I should change OS in order to avoid such troublesome problem. I think it is a problem to run debian gnu linux on proliant DL380 server itself.
did anybody found similar problem on redhat linux?
