apache configuration

Hello ,

I am having serious performance problems in my apache web server over windows XP . It is extremely slow and I have discovered, using ethereal , that the web server is making netbios name search ... Do you know why ,??? How can I disable apache to make this???

Re: apache configuration

This is not an apache problem. Its a networking problem. You need to disable netbios on your Windows servers and check your samba/cifs configuration and make sure netbios variables are commented.

Then the netbios traffic should stop.

Re: apache configuration

hi,

you need a wins server. because if a wins server in the network windows clients dramaticaly decrease there netbios trafic over network.
