BIND-ISC_9.3.6----> hp-ux _9.3.2 Performance Degradation

I have ported the code from ISC_9.3.6 into
HP-UX BIND-9.3.2. I would like to know while running performace test-suite on HP-UX BIND-9.3.2 I am seeing performance degradation but this is not case with ISC-9.3.6. can any one tell me how to increase the performance on HP-UX?

Performance = Number of queries per sec.

Re: BIND-ISC_9.3.6----> hp-ux _9.3.2 Performance Degradation

Shalom,

First, can you provide your figures and hardware data. What kind of degradation are you seeing with BIND 9.3.2 in HP-UX, in number of queries per second.

As you note, you are testing a newer version of the basic BIND code against the older version on HP-UX. Sometimes when new versions of BIND are released, performance is improved. The answer to your question of what to do may be to wait for HP to port BIND 9.3.6 to HP-UX.

To make HP work faster, contact your HP rep with the data and tell that rep you want BIND 9.3.6 ported to HP-UX.
