Blade Server VL40P and ethtool - RH AS 3.0

Hi:

I have one server VL40P Server running RH AS 3.0. Problem is i want to change eth0 configuration using ethtool. I want to put autoneg off, speed 100 an duplex full using this sintaxis:

ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off

but command is not working,i always have this configuration

I need to put autoneg off an 100 full duplex.

Try configuring during network startup, edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX and add:

ETHTOOL_OPTS="speed 100 duplex full autoneg off"

Then run:

service network restart

The ethtool settings will work, unless of course you are actually connected to a switch port or device set for 100 BaseT half.
