Boot From SAN Red Hat 5.3 and multipath
I am trying to configure a BL460c with Emulex LPe1205-HP 8Gb/s to boot from an eva6400 (09534000 ).
As far as I can make out from the HP document Red hat 5.3 and above should use the operating system drivers and multipath.
I cant get multipath to create any devices for the boot LUN.

Re: Boot From SAN Red Hat 5.3 and multipath
Thanks - Red hat multipath insall really simplifies things.
I have just one further question.
Do we still add the kernel options to /etc/modprobe.conf
options lpfc lpfc_nodev_tmo=14 lpfc_lun_queue_depth=16 lpfc_discovery_threads=32
and install the HP multipath configuration file
HPDMmultipath-4.4.1

Re: Boot From SAN Red Hat 5.3 and multipath
Yes. You still need to and don;t worry it will not BREAK your multipath SAN Boot configuration if you strictly fopllow the recipe from RedHat.
Cheers.
Cheers.
