Booting RHL Enterprise 3.0 from SAN array disk

Does anyone know if RHL Enterprise ES 3.0 supports booting from an external disk on an array via a fiber channel SAN? More specifically, from a boot volume on a CLARiiON or Symmetrix? We are looking at deployment of Linux on Proliant blades (BL20p)in our Data Center as an alternative to Windows servers and I am determining what options are available in putting together a comprehensive Disaster Recovery strategy. I'd like to be able to extend the EMC replication/mirroring solutions we have developed for our HP-UX servers onto the Linux platform.

Thanks,
John

Re: Booting RHL Enterprise 3.0 from SAN array disk

It does support booting from a disk array.

On the array, a LUN needs to be assigned to the World Wide Name of the connector card, which is usually a fiber card.

It should show up as a scsi device.

AS to specific arrays, I don't have that information. It should be available on the site of the Array maker.
