checking for j2sdk package using rpm -q
I want to know how can I check j2sdk rpm is
installed on the system or not.
Because when i give
#rpm -q j2sdk
Nothing comes but I am sure it is installed
becuase i am using it.
Apart from this How can i invoke rpm manager
gui from my telnet session.
Thanks
Amit

Re: checking for j2sdk package using rpm -q
You can grep the output or just look at it and see if you see the java 2 sdk.

Re: checking for j2sdk package using rpm -q
Already did what you are suggesting but
the most strange part of this is that I
have already un-installed the default
j2sdk of the system still It is listing it.
Anybody know how to export display for
Linux using XCEED (XCONFIG)
Thanks,
Amit

Re: checking for j2sdk package using rpm -q
try rpm -qa | more
you will see what is installed via rpm. (If you have installed java from source, you will not see it )
