configuring devices on HP NC6000 with Fedora core
Hi all, i have some problem with some devices on my nc6000 i 've installed Fedora core 1. the problems are :
- need help to configuring touchpad
- i 've configured modem and seems work (i 've test with minicom) but ...i can't connect with a provided...seems not compose phone number)
- someone was been able to configuring IRDA ?

Hi,
take a look at http://www.cs.duke.edu/~reynolds/nc6000-linux.html
Consider using latest 2.6 kernel and XFree86 4.3.
Touchpad works with synaptics driver (X builtin doesn't support tapping but works too).
IrDA should work with toshsat1800-irdasetup (provides correct SuperIO initialization) and then with smsc_ircc2 driver from vanilla kernel. --yet have to test it
Modem works with slamr driver - needs a slmodemd running and uses "serial port" called /dev/ttySL0.
