CUPS1.3 and HPLIP1.6.7 on RHEL5.3
Has anyone gotten an HP P1505N to work properly on RHEL5.3 using CUPS1.3 and HPLIP1.6.7?
We are restricted to using the RedHat versions, (no compling later versions).
I've done my homework by researching CUPS and HPLIP, and am 99% confident this is not possible with the imposed restrictions.
But, I've learned that if it's possible, someone in the ITRC forums knows how.
Thanks,
:-)

Re: CUPS1.3 and HPLIP1.6.7 on RHEL5.3
Shalom,
Based on your restrictions you can either install cups from the RHEL 5.3 install media or not.
Whatever verion is there, plus dependencies complies with the policy you have stated.
Any other solution would require compiling cups, which you have just said you are not allowed to do.
