DL320 G2, LSI megaraid and Redhat Enterprise 3.
As many of you probably know, the ATA raid on a DL320 G2, is the "lsilogic Megaraid ATA 133-2", which is only supported up to Redhat 9.0 and Redhat Enterprise 2.1.
l'd like to install fedora core 3 or Enterprise 3 and use the hardware raid. Has anyone worked out a driver yet for this raid driver and these Linux distributions?
l will install Redhat 9.0, and then try an upgrade to Fedora Core 3, and see if the upgrade keeps the RAID driver.
l'd much rather do a clean install, so please let me know where l can get the driver if it exists.
l'd rather not use the Redhat software raid, as recovering via hardware raid is so much easier.
Thanks in advance,
Alan

Re: DL320 G2, LSI megaraid and Redhat Enterprise 3.
I sugest you to do 2 things in parallel:
1) try to install RHEL 3.0 with latest [4] update
2) ask HP what is status/timeline for RHEL3.0 for DL320G2 certification
Rgds,
Vitaly

Thanks Vitaly.
l spoke with HP support on Friday about this issue, and they could not tell me when it would be certified for RH EL 3.
l do have The latest RH Ent4 V4 disks, so l will give it a try.
Thanks,
Alan
