DL360 G3 & Ubuntu 6.0.6

Hi

HP DL360 G3 servers have a well documented ROM issue with temperature monitoring and fan speed.

HP provided a fix some time ago in the form of a firmware upgrade. I have applied this to many Windows and Netware servers previously, and the fix seems to work

However I have rebuilt one of our G3 servers with Ubuntu 6.0.6 server and the fix does not work - the system fans are screaming away like jet engines. I presume I need a linux version of Insight Manager or the like but cannot find any linux versions apart from ones for RedHat or SuSE

Has anyone been down this path before and know what is required for a fix?
