DL380G3, Red Hat, and Autoraid
Greetings, all.
We just wheeled out our last L-class, and we ended up with an unused Autoraid cabinet filled with 36GB drives.
Waste not, want not, I say----but can I hook it to a DL380's built-in SCSI port? I also have an Adaptec 3944A Ultra SCSI adapter for our old DLT stand-alone drive installed as well. Would either of these play nice with the Autoraid?
Assuming I can get the hardware physically connected, once it comes up, can I just fdisk/mkfs it like normal storage space?
Cheers,
-dd

Hey, that's not a spoon.

Re: DL380G3, Red Hat, and Autoraid
Shalom dd,
Check the spefications on your scsi card at the hp server doc site. Then look at the autoraid. If it matches, ie both SE scsi or both lvd scsi it should work.
if not you could damage your system.
