The question several of us are asking, at the below URL

When it speaks of required OS, does it mean in the OS listed below, ONLY kernel 2.4.9-e.27?

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 - QU2 - Errata kernel 2.4.9-e.27 (SMP,UP and Enterprise)

We've tried to compile against 2.4.9-e.38enterprise and it does not work.

certainly not speakting for hp, but my naive expectation would have been that this should work. Can you give more details on the error you receive?
