EML Rev 1126 on sles9

I have an EML media changer on sles-9 and the tape drives associated can be seen by my system but not recognized by data protector ... is there a specific firmware level that I should be at or is there additional drivers/software that I need to install to enable my storage device system ? Here is the relevant content of /proc/scsi/scsi:
