EVA 6100 monitoring with Linux
Hello!
We have a HP EVA 6100 and would like to monitor it with our SYSLOG or SYSLOG-NG server.
I already RTFM but could not find anything except SNMP or downloading the log-files ( which I think is not a really good alternative ).
Question:
Who is using montoring function of an EVA6100 with linux ?
What would be the best way to do it ?

Re: EVA 6100 monitoring with Linux
I think that your best option is to use Webes, but this should run on the CV manager host. Configure it to send email notifications.
I normally use SSSU for monitoring the status of the eva from command line on Unix.
Cheers.

Re: EVA 6100 monitoring with Linux
Shalom,
install an ssh server on windows EVA monitor.
Set up password free access and use scp to process the log files to Linux, then use any script you want to look for important messages.
