extend partition

On a Hp extend raid 5 (3 disks) with one disk.
OS suse enterprise 9 and see new free space with freedisk.
one of my partitions is almost out of space and I want to extend this partition with the free space I just added. Can someone tel how I can do that and not losing the data

What is your current disk layout? Please send us output of:

1) fdisk -l

2) df

Did you use LVM in the first place?
And if yes, what's the output from pvdisplay,vgdisplay,lvdisplay?
