Is Fedora the new RedHat9?
If so, how and where can I download it?
Will it be bootable?

SolutionInstead of former RH Linux line (4,5.x,6.x... 9) we have Fedora open-source project.
So today you can:
1) use Fedora Core linux for free:
http://fedora.redhat.com/Download/
2) use RH Enterprise Linux and pay RH for support http://www.redhat.com/en_us/USA/rhel/
3) Use RH Enterprise Linux clone for free.
See this review http://lwn.net/Articles/129698/
CentOS http://www.centos.org/ is the most popular RHEL clone.

Vitaly

Re: Fedora ?

You can download the iso's and create cd's for install there.
As far as I know Fedora Core 1 was the successor to Red Hat 9, not the equivalent. It is the closest release in terms off base code.

Re: Fedora ?
It is the full legal free version of RHEL straight from RedHat (with mentions of RedHat replaced by CentOS).
It's up to date and has a large user group.
