Groupwise

Redhat es 2.1 email server/sendmail
groupwise 6.5

The two systems are being merged.

I admin the Redhat server and am unsure of what I need to do to relay sendmail/email to groupwise.

1. I see a module in Webmin, where I forward all mail to a particular IP. Is it really that simple???!

2. Do I leave sendmail running...are there different senarios to accomplish this merger?

Thanks!!!!!!!

Re: Groupwise

If you just want sendmail on the linux box to forward *all mail* to the Groupwise server, then yes.

It's called "Smart Host" (DS entries in the .cf file, or a "define(`SMART_HOST', `groupwise.host');" in an .mc file).

If the sendmail is still going to be accepting external connetions however, this complicates it.

You should use a mailertable entry for the specific domain that it will be accepting (an entry such as 'domain.com esmtp:groupwise.host').

This is so you do not open the RELAYing rules wider than necessary.
