grub S-ATA (sata)" geom err "

Hi,
can anybody help me with Grub config
for following HW configuration ?

===========================
CPU - AMD 64 3000+
MB - MSI K8N Neo2 PLat. 54G
disk - SAta - Hitachi(120GB)
disk - SCSI - 36GB
===========================

Sata ( adapt.2., slot3 ( used for next overclocking) - boot - is presented like /dev/sda
SCSI - main linux inst.( /boot;/;swap ) - is presented like /dev/sdb

After installing Linux ( SuSe9.2., FC3.0 eg.)
system doesn't boot with message "grub: geom err".


/dev/sda - boot
/dev/sda1 - Windoze :-((
/dev/sdb1 - swap
/dev/sdb2 - linux ( xfs, reiserfs, ext3,... )


any inspirative example ??
