I tried to upgrade to SuSE 9 but couldn't get proxy to work. I would like to try RedHad 9 or Fedora but haven't been able to find them. Does anyone know where I could find them for sale on CD's.
Thanks !!

Re: Hacked, shutdown again.
This is the most secure free Unix :
"Only one remote hole in the default install, in more than 7 years!"
Plus :
"OpenBSD supports binary emulation of most programs from SVR4 (Solaris), FreeBSD, Linux, BSD/OS, SunOS and HP-UX."
http://www.openbsd.org
This OS is often use for building firewall, and other security network purposes. Even there C library are secured : buffer over flow protection, ...
Just another look :)

Re: Hacked, shutdown again.
www.linuxiso.org (or fedora.redhat.com and redhat.com)
If you want to purchase RH9, I believe stores like CompUSA sell them. But you might as well just download them and burn them on a CD.

Been using SMC's router/firewall/switch

Re: Hacked, shutdown again.
If you have an old Pentium class machine lying around (perhaps being used as a door stop at the moment) and a couple of extra NIC card, you might want to look into a package called SmoothWall ( www.smoothwall.org ).
I have been using it for quite some time at home and it seems to be extremely solid.
Just a thought since you seem to have become a target.
Regards,
John
