hard disk

Dear All
i have linux 9 server i want to know the free spaces of my hard disks through the command line , what commands should i use, is there is something like sam in linux?

this if i have all my hardisk partitioned but what if i have part of my hard disk not mounted to any file system

Fadia,

Try with 'fdisk -l'
this will give you all partition sizes.

"fdisk -l" for your whole space of hard disk
"df -h" for your partition which have been mounted
"pvscan" if you uses lvm
just for fun

Hi

To get the free available space on disk you have to use'fdisk -l'
This will also give the existing sizes and free.
