Hibernation on Evo n620c with Ubuntu

Hello,

I would like to activate Hibernation on my compaq evo n620c (or al least Stand-by) with Ubuntu Linux. When I choose the Option from the Logout-Menu, Linux immediately hangs.

I already spent some time browsing forums and google on that issue, but couldn't really find something useful.

I have some experience in administrating Ubuntu Linux, but I have no idea where and how to configure the Hibernation Mode.

I would appreciate any kind of help.
