hosts file umpty!?
Hi,
We do some preventive commande in order to check a health of our HP 9000/R380 with HP-UX 11.00 on it, a other software installed to, developped under INFORMIX run as a banking software production called DELTA...
the PB appreared when one user doing some transactions with DELTA,trought the emulation via his PC,suddenly a deconnection for all users and the /etc/hosts users ip@ were erased prematurelly!?
we have chance to do somme routine commands before:
#lp -d magana [printer name] /etc/hosts
#check_recovery (no changes to do an IGNITE!)
We do # rmsf -H 8/16/5.0.0 to erease DAT/DDS2 internal and create with:
#mksf 8/16/5.3.0 [a new DAT/SURSTOR DDS2 external]
#insf -e
and no things at all after that!
So we looking for this strange desapearing data at /etc/hosts (users ip@ & ID specially)your professionnal opinion PLS!
thaks for your replays
bye
