How can i Redirect /var/log/messages file to SolarWinds(Orion)'s syslog viewer

We have a product called "Orion Syslog Viewer", i was wondering can i get specific syslog errors (written to the /var/log/messages file), to be sent to the management server called Orion?

We are developping a new application which will report it's app errors to the syslog (/var/log/messages), we then want our monitoring tool (Orion), to be able to pick-up these errors and report them (email, pager) etc..

Options:

Reconfigure syslog.conf and restart the syslog daemon, directing the logs to another file.

syslog also has an external interface that lets you consolidate system logs using port 514.

For partial or conditional logs, you will probably need to write a custom script.
