Re: how to connect internet via BSNL Broadband (India) to Red Hat Enterprise AS 4.0
Your question seems a bid vague....are you saying that you have a RHES v4.0 system sitting on a network and are asking how to reach the Internet ? If no, please clarify further.
If that is the question, then minimally you need at least one network connection to the RHES system, preferrably Ethernet, an assigned tcp/ip address and a gateway or default gateway address in the same subnet as the address on your interface. Assuming the network you're connected to has a connection to the Internet, you should then be able to start a browser on the system and surf the Internet.

1) install NIC in rhel box
2) connect NIC to broadband router
3) connect router to broadband connection
4) use ifconfig or ethtool to obtain a dhcp address.
