I presented 5 luns from SAN (XP, EVA), but it is not visible from the host. What are the commands to be exicuted from host, so that it can detect the luns without reboot.

Re: How to detect newly added storage device without reboot
first identify you HBA by command
$lspci
compare to
$ls -ld /sys/class/scsi_host/host?/device
find the correct .../host?/
then
$ echo "- - - " > /sys/class/scsi_host/hostX/scan
finally check dmesg-output for new devices.

Re: How to detect newly added storage device without reboot
All things being equal hprescan from PSP should be able to detect the new storage without reboot.
In practice this may be effected by settings in /etc/modprobe.conf and the initrd ramdisk image.
I've had problems with this when using Emulex cards.
