how to get KDE via VNC on the remote computer ?

hi

I'm using linux SuSE 8.1
If I connect via VNC viewer
to the machine with VNC server, I get only the shell screen.

How can I change that ?
I need KDE screen as root user.

Move your ~/.vnc/xstartup away, and do ln -s /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc ~/.vnc/xstartup

Re: how to get KDE via VNC on the remote computer ?

there is an export command
you first have to export the second desktop.

and then you'l get the option to login from the client but then use the ip address:2
or how it's exported (display 2)

so could be 192.168.1.2:0 / or 192.168.1.2:2
depending how you export your xserver display.

See VNC HOWTO in Google.

it works..
