we're currently using HP APA on Hp-UX 11i.
Since we're migrating the SW/HW platform to Linux / HP ProLiant servers, we should migrate the LAN card redundancy too.
Does it exist a product for Linux similar to HP APA, i.e. providing the "Automatic Port Aggregation"?
thanks
Enrico

Re: How to "migrate" Automatic Port Aggregation to Linux?
The module comes with distribution, some configuration is required.
You didn't mention the distribution you use so I assumed it's redhat. Here's a link
http://docs.hp.com/en/B9903-90043/ch05s04.html
The mode=1 is for active-backup configuration. For port aggragation it should be mode=4.
Here's a link with different modes:

Re: How to "migrate" Automatic Port Aggregation to Linux?
Linux bonding will save you some money because its built into the base OS.
Costs you nothing but time and is easier to configure.
