I have a RH 7.3 and with neat I can't add a net card.
Are there any other way to add a net card ?
thanks

Re: How to setup a nic ?
How about some hardware details here?
Using 'neat', adding a network card should be as simple as clicking a button, and following prompts (assuming it's of a support type).
If it isn't, then we'll need to know at the very least what kind of Network card it is.
if you are unsure (as it's on-board, or came with the system or some such), just provide us with the model details of your PC. Hopefully someone will be able to go from there.

Re: How to setup a nic ?
Right.. So you were probably using a Compaq Evo (or something else with an "Intel Corp.|82801BD PRO/100 VM (LOM) Ethernet Controller" or similar series NIC), and during installation, it was found but never configured, and after install it still wasn't configurable.
The steps you took however were the right ones. I've seen this problem on a number of machiens with similar series intel onbard NIC's.
After removing the entry, running KUDZU, you could have then used 'neat' to configure it, but it would have done basically the same thing.
