how to use ntop in a switched network ?

hi

I have ntop v.3.0 installed on freeBSD 5.2.1
and it works.

but which ntop start parameter do I need to start ntop in a switched network ?

I start ntop with:
/usr/local/bin/ntop -d -L --set-pcap-nonblocking -w 192.168.0.1:3000 -a /var/log/ntop.access.log -u nobody

kind regards
chris

Re: how to use ntop in a switched network ?

AFAIK, if you want to monitor all hosts in switched network, you should connect machine with ntop to the special port in switch.

If you want to monitor traffic for ntop box itself - you don't need special parameters.
