HP-9000 Server with HP700/96 Connection issues
My HP9000 server along with the HP700/96 Terminal has been acting up lately. Someone in the IT department went to try and check out some new functions with the function keys, but after they pressed a few buttons and a colleague of mine decided to use our NetTerm program, it unfortunately began to have connection issues.
We enter our clients where we automatically get our backups from and have tried many ways to try and restore/reset the data while we've been logged out and stuck out of the client. We're running Linux 10.2 on that server as well if that helps..
Also, we managed to get one single computer on there since the original post, but no other user has been able to access it.. Please advise us as to what is the best course of action.
Thank you.
Best Regards

Re: HP 9000 server (Linux 10.2) with network connection issues
I'm not sure what your problem is. You mention your HP 9000 and your terminal and function keys.
The terminal is connected with a serial cable. Or are you talking about network connection issues?
Then you talk about "NetTerm program, it unfortunately began to have connection issues".
How is this talking to your server, over the network?
>we automatically get our backups from and have tried many ways to try and restore/reset the data
Again, how are you connecting to the server?
>we managed to get one single computer on there
Single computer on what?

- We don't have network connections elsewhere but we're on a LAN line with the HP9000 and the HP9000 is connected via Telnet

Single computer on what?
Our NetTerm and FileZilla client.. Since we had no problems connecting to it via FileZilla and the NetTerm client before. Until now. We get our computer backups off the "NetTerm" program in one of their files using FileZilla..
Sorry about being a bit vague before, but I hope that answers some of your questions.
