HP Cobol

Hi,

I??m moving HPXU10.20 from E Class to D Class. Into E35 have a HP Cobol installed.

Question: If I just copy the COBOL folder to the D Class, it??s works??

P.S. I dont have the COBOL Install Disks.

Re: HP Cobol

yes, it will work

BTW:
1) HPUX 10.20 already unsupported (or will be unsupported very soon)
2) this is linux forum

Re: HP Cobol

I don't think your license will transfer to another machine. HP COBOL uses FLEXlm to handle licensing, and I suspect it is tied to the host ID for your E class machine.

You should contact your HP sales rep about getting a new codeword for your D-class machine.

Re: HP Cobol

I think this is your only option, but, how will you know if you get all of the needed files outside of the file system? There are other configuration files to also collect.

Concentrate on obtaining the disks. Try ebay. Go out on the web. Post another message in the right HP-UX forum instead of the linux forum and you'll really get the right advertisement. (* I don't think anyone knows over here. *)
