HP Colorado 5GBe on Linux???

I have WIN982e backing up on my HP Colorado 5GB and I have installed dual-boot RedHat Linux 7.0. Can I back up Linux files with this device? How???

I should have said that the HP 5GBe is external, and connects through the parallel printer port... Dale
