HP ProLiant Unable to load SCSI driver in linux ES3.0

we are having HP ProLiant DL385 with ultra320 scsi 73 GB hard disk along with Scsi smartarray 6i controller with dual 64 bit AMD processor.we need to install Red Hat Linux ES3.0 onto this server.while loading it was not detecting the harddisk.we created driver diskette for the scsi controller and harddisk but still it did't detect.please help me on this .....this is very urgent as a-i m stuck with this thing

Ani,

I had a similar problem, from the sounds of it, when I had a problem with the raid controller on the smart array. I had to have it replaced, then picked up disks ok.

Hope it is not as serious as that for you.

Hello,

you can use the Proliant Support Pack to install your server with RHEL3:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/24758.html

you can also try to launch the installation with:

and after loading the diskette, use the menu 'select from list' and look in for the good module.

if this don't work can you past errors messages who appears in +F3 and +F2 ?
