Installing NTP on a UNIX_System_V 4.0 R40V4.4 m88k

Hello,

My knowledge in HP is some what limited, I have just moved into a new position that has asked me to setup NTP on all our current nodes. A group of these nodes are UNIX_System_V 4.0 R40V4.4 m88k and I am wondering how I would go about setting up NTP and finding the binaries/NTP programs to install on the machines??

Any and all help is greatly appreciated....

Thanks,
Mike Button

Hello Mike
the m88k are Motorola Systems.
I don't think that there are precompiled binaries for ntp.
But you can download the sources from http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~ntp/download.html
and compile it by yourself on your systems.
good luck

Dirk,

Once I have the binaries, how will I go about installing the service, will it be like the normal HPUX 10.20's.

sorry, i don't know in detail. I assume that it is at least similar the other UNIX ntp configurations. But if you have problems you certainly can found infos on the ntp-website.
